How to Plant
Supreme Perennial will perform best in a well prepared seed bed. Work the soil until it is clump free and level with a drag. You can plant this blend with a drill or with a hand seeder. Do not plant deeper than ΒΌ inch. To cover the seed use a cultipacker or a light drag. For best results have soil tested at your local co-op and apply the recommended amount of lime and fertilizer. If a soil test is not done, apply 1 ton of Lime per acre and 250 lbs. of 13-13-13 fertilizer. This blend can also be frost seeded.
When to Plant
In the northern half of the United States plant in the spring when the ground temperature is 50 degrees or higher. Fall planting should be done in late summer to give the roots time to develop before the first frost. Always plant in moist soil and with a reasonable chance of rainfall in the future. Without adequate moisture, plot may fail to establish properly.
Maintaining Your Plot
Fertilize your food plot once in the Spring and once in the Fall. It is best to mow your plot at least once a year to keep native weeds down and to promote new growth.
